When Plymouth College wanted to refurbish their breakout area for their older students they called on the team at Westcountry Group to deliver exactly that. The aim of this project was to create a place where students could relax, socialise and unwind in.
Our solution
The college is set within a large old house so we played on this to create a real ‘my-own-home’ appeal. Combining warm wood tones with soft grey plush seating we created a cosy, laid back area for sixth form boarding students to be at ease in.
Results
The new space has a ‘real home’ feel to it. The traditional-style kitchen creates a place for students to gather and socialise in, whilst the inviting lounge serves as a home-from-home living room for cosy evenings in.
