Library Furniture, Design and Fit-out Service

Westcountry Group supplies school library and learning-zone furniture across the UK, working with primary, secondary, SEND, college and university libraries on standalone orders and as part of larger Education Interiors projects.

Much of our furniture range is UK-made, with extensive colour palettes, end-panel branding options and finish choices across wood, laminate, MFC, vinyl and fabric to match your school’s existing scheme. We also offer a fully managed library fit-out and refurbishment service that runs from first brief through to handover and ongoing after-sales support.

  • Shelving and book storage systems
Fixed, mobile and modular shelving in single- and double-sided versions, with castor options to reconfigure the room over time and custom-finish end panels available in your school’s colours, branding or graphics.
  • Display and reading-corner furniture
Book browsers, tiered display units, book spinners, kinderboxes and bookcase-and-bench sets that complement the main shelving in primary libraries, reading zones and break-out areas.
  • Soft seating with integrated power and USB charging
Modular lounge and sofa systems with in-built power sockets and fast-charging USB-A and USB-C ports for libraries that double as device-led study spaces for sixth-form, college and university use.
  • Quiet and acoustic study areas
High-back booth seating, tessellating study pods and modular acoustic work areas that create private and focused space within an open library, without the cost of building permanent partitions.
  • Tiered and modular event seating
Reconfigurable tiered seating that turns the library into a workable space for assemblies, year-group teaching, author visits and reading events.

DEFINE

We listen carefully as you share your ideas and goals for the library, including the year groups and use cases the space needs to serve, the look and feel you want and any constraints on budget, access or timing. We help you get those ideas down on paper as a working brief.

DESIGN

Our interior design team builds a design around your brief with 3D and 4D visuals so you can review the library, adjust the layout and sign off on the design before any furniture is ordered. We plan around any furniture you are keeping and around the existing layout of the room.

a productive workspace
  • The conversion of part of our library into a Sixth Form study centre has been transformational in how pupils work and collaborate together. Imaginative seating and table layouts facilitate private study or working in small groups within one attractive space.

  • Westcountry have created two fantastic spaces at Hayes for both staff and students. Formerly these spaces were unused and unloved areas of school, now they are bright, colourful and in constant use. Working with a company like Westcountry makes embarking on large projects a lot less daunting knowing that you are getting great value, accurate information and fantastic engineers. We have now worked with Westcountry on two separate projects and I look forward to working with them again on the next!
