Sixth Form and Common Room
Institution: Dauntsey's School
Location: Devizes, Wiltshire
Requirements: Library conversion to a Sixth Form
The conversion of part of our library into a Sixth Form study centre has been transformational in how pupils work and collaborate together. Imaginative seating and table layouts facilitate private study or working in small groups within one attractive space.
Their Requirements
Dauntsey’s School approached us to refurbish two key student areas, the Sixth Form Study Centre and the GCSE Common Room. Both spaces required a complete redesign and re-furnishing, with a strong focus on durability, comfort, and creating environments that support independent study, social interaction and daily school life.
The Solution
Working closely with the school team, we developed furniture schemes tailored to the way each space is used throughout the day. Education grade materials and Crib 5 fabrics ensure longevity, while thoughtful design creates environments that balance study and social needs.
The Result
The Sixth Form Study Centre now features flexible individual and group desks, comfortable seating, a calm modern aesthetic, natural-inspired finishes, suspended acoustic treatments, and bold upholstery accents that enhance the atmosphere. The vibrant GCSE Common Room provides a welcoming space for informal gatherings, with soft seating, practical storage, a space-efficient layout, varied seating options, and ceiling acoustics that enhance sound absorption while contributing to the energy of the room.
The refurbished areas now oer students functional, inviting environments designed around their daily needs. Dauntsey’s School were delighted with the transformation, praising the quality of the installation and our ability to deliver on a tight timetable without compromising on finish, durability, or design.
