Their Requirements
Strukta is an Andover-based construction company. As the business grew, its operations spanned three satellite offices. The management team took the decision to bring all three together into a single central hub, giving the team a shared workspace to match the shared culture.
Consolidating three offices into one raises questions that go beyond floor plans. The new central office had to reflect the company’s brand and culture, giving the team a space that felt distinctly Strukta rather than a generic construction firm HQ.
Westcountry Group was brought in to design that space. The brief was to work with the management team to understand what the business was really trying to build, then translate that into a workspace staff would enjoy being in together.
The Solution
Our design team worked directly with the management team through the early stages of the project. That meant walking through how the business ran, what a typical day looked like and how the different teams used their time together.
That informed a workspace design that runs practical operational areas alongside social and cultural spaces. The shared areas are designed to encourage staff to spend time together, not head straight for their desks and out again.
The character of the office comes through in the detail. A slide runs between floors, a nod to the company’s culture that has become one of the most talked-about features of the space. The finish reflects Strukta’s own brand rather than a stock corporate palette.
The Result
Strukta has been in the central Andover hub since the project completed. The three previously separate offices now operate as a single team from a single location.
The consolidation was delivered without any loss of staff across the three original offices. That speaks to how carefully the transition was managed and how invested the team was in the change.
