Job Description

This role is the face of Westcountry Group at our customers’ premises, repairing faults and servicing their dining furniture systems.  The role includes regular inspections and troubleshooting visits, and providing technical support. The engineer will also be involved in installing new equipment and providing training to on-site users.  Communicating effectively with customers, internal teams, and suppliers to coordinate service activities and resolve issues is a key part of the role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide regular servicing to equipment, such as wall pockets and folding tables, to ensure that our customers are compliant with the PUWER (The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) regulations 1998
  • Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
  • Diagnose breakdown problems
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
  • Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
  • Communicating with customers and the office team to ensure that services are delivered effectively
  • Promptly following up on service requests and providing customer feedback
  • Monitoring equipment and machinery performance and developing preventative maintenance measures
  • Conduct quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment. Keeping detailed records of all service activities, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and training materials.
  • Delivering demonstrations to ensure that customers are educated on safe and effective equipment use
  • Monitoring and maintain an inventory of stock parts and supplies, reordering materials when needed within lead times
